NOTICE TO BID Sealed proposals for the Susquehanna County Courthouse Column Repair Project will be received at the Susquehanna County Commissioners Office, Susquehanna County Courthouse Building, 105 Maple Street, PO Box 218, Montrose, PA 18801 until 4:00 P.M. on September 9, 2014. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 9:00 A.M. on September 10, 2014 at the Susquehanna County Commissioners Office, 105 Maple Street, PO Box 218, Montrose, PA 18801. Work shall consist of removal of the existing column capitals and replacement of capitals and associated improvements to the front of the existing Courthouse Building at 105 Maple Street in Montrose, PA., as shown on the Construction Documents. The Contract Documents may be examined and/or obtained beginning August 18, 2014 at the offices of Greenman-Pedersen, Inc., 50 Glenmaura National Blvd., Suite 102, Scranton, PA 18505. Telephone inquiries regarding the availability of documents for bidding may be made to Greenman-Pedersen, at (570) 342-3700, Ext. 237. Documents will be available only upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $50.00 for each project set, excluding any shipping costs. Make checks payable to Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. Proposals must be submitted upon the forms furnished by the County. Only Bidders receiving a full set of Documents through the County will be on record to receive Addenda. Notice is hereby given that this project is a Public Works Project and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act of October 27, 1955, P.L., 744 and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act No. 442 of August 15, 1961, as amended on August 9, 1963. The bid must be accompanied by a certified/cashiers check or Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, made payable to Susquehanna County. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or portions thereof or to waive any informality in the bidding. If written notice of the acceptance of this Bid is mailed or delivered to the undersigned within sixty (60) days after the opening thereof, or at any time thereafter before the Bid is withdrawn, the undersigned agrees to execute and deliver the Agreement in the form prescribed by Susquehanna County. Proposal shall be submitted in a sealed envelope containing Bid and Bid Bond, or other approved bid security, and shall be addressed to Susquehanna County Commissioners Office, and shall be plainly marked with the wording, "Bid for Susquehanna County Courthouse, Column Repair."
