LEGAL NOTICE NPDES APPLICATION Pursuant to the "Noncoal Surface Mining Conservation and Reclamation Act" and the "Clean Streams Law" notice is hereby given that B.S. Quarries, Inc., 859 John C McNamara Drive, Montrose, PA 18801 has made application to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection for an Individual NPDES Permit Associated with Mining Activities at their BS Quarries Lanesboro Quarry. The Permit area totals 465.6 acres and is located at the end of Jefferson Street, south of SR 1009 and north of SR 171, in Lanesboro Borough and Harmony Township, Susquehanna County. The receiving stream for this proposed permit area is Starrucca Creek (CWF, MF). The center of the site is found approximately 15.4" up and 9.8" left from the lower right corner of the Susquehanna, PA, U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute topographic map. A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the Susquehanna County Conservation District, 88 Chenango St, Montrose, PA 18801. Written comments, objections, or a request for public hearing or informal conference may be submitted to the Department of Environmental Protection, Pottsville District Mining Office, 5 West Laurel Boulevard, Pottsville, PA 17901 by August 14, 2015 and must include the persons name, address, telephone number, and a brief statement as to the nature of the objection(s).
